NEW: Who's Going?

Welcome to the unofficial home of the unofficial event unofficially known as our Rocky Horror Vegas Vacation! (kudos Mark Tomaino for the name suggestion).

This site is a here to help everyone organize their plans, but not to dictate them. Don't shoot the messenger! I'll update this page as more information is decided, but if you have any comments please use the Rocky Horror Usenet Newsgroup for discussions. I'm just trying to summerize here what gets decided and suggested in the group. The unofficial announcement can be unofficially found here.

Alternatively Broadway Bound and Gagged has offered to host their own RockyPartyPaloozaStock in Phoenix on the same weekend. So pick your poison and get moving! :-)

Details:

Weekend of April 2nd/3rd, 2004. Most seem to be planning on showing up Friday the 2nd, but a few are thinking about coming earlier. As with everything else, feel free to show up whenever best suits you.

The hotel of choice will be the Sahara Hotel, because that's where RockyCon was going to be and people may already have rooms booked, etc. Quad works for a hotel booking company and noted she can get people better then the RockyCon rates at the Sahara. If you want to book someplace else, feel free, Vegas isn't big enough to matter much who's in what hotel.

Catsuit Kelly suggested meeting up at Quark's Bar" on Friday night to start the weekend off. Personally I think that's a fantastic idea. The place is pretty cool, the drinks are "out of this world", it's centrally located, and it would be a great way to get room/phone lists passed around and make plans for the rest of the weekend. Kelly suggested between 9pm and 11pm, which seems to be fine with most judging from comments in the group. It will make a fun wrap-up spot Saturday night to meet up in mass again, exchange the day's war stories, figure out who's throwing what party, and for the few people not left hung over can plan Sunday's events.

If you want to see any real shows in Vegas (highly recommended!), I strongly suggest booking tickets early. Most of the good shows are sold out long before. Personally I'm probably going to checkout one of the Cirque du Soleil shows, and maybe Splash and An Evening at La Cage. There are of course hundreds of other great attractions in Vegas to keep you busy that don't require advanced planning.

More details to come as you decide them.

See ya all in Vegas!
